Our Refill Communities are the beating heart of the #RefillRevolution - passionate individuals serving as ambassadors in their local area by connecting people to reuse solutions, empowering businesses to cut plastic waste, and driving lasting change.
Thanks to the incredible grassroots action of Refill Communities, we’re connected millions of people with places where they can eat, drink and shop without plastic.
The Refill campaign started life in the UK and we now have over 420 local schemes across the country!
Our incredible groups are powering the Refill Revolution in their local area, tackling plastic pollution, reducing waste and connecting people to free-drinking water.
They are our ambassadors in their local area, providing the physical face to a digital campaign. Our communities are fundamental in enabling us to create long-lasting change and to help them in their delivery of Refill, we offer a library of support and guidance to help them make a splash!

As a Refill Community, you can become part of a growing global movement to tackle our ever-growing plastic crisis and help people live with less waste.
We provide our Refill Communities with an extensive set of resources and tools to enable them to deliver the Refill campaign in their area. They also have the full support of City to Sea’s Community Co-ordinator throughout their Refill journey. Refill Community Stories
Since 2018, we’ve been working with our partners Chilly’s to spread the Refill Revolution across the UK with the help of our incredible Refill Schemes – a 400-strong network of individuals, community groups and local authorities on the ground, taking grassroots action to create lasting change in their local area.
Thanks to funding from Chilly’s, the Refill campaign is helping hundreds of thousands of people to take action where they live. This series celebrates some of these amazing Refill communities out there on the ground helping us to turn the tide on plastic pollution.
