Why preventing plastic pollution IS important to US?
We want Ullapool to be an attractive place, both for visitors and residents however one of the threats to this is the growing amount of waste and litter (the new bins on Shore St are frequently overflowing). We have identified that a significant part of the litter is from single use takeaway packaging and we hope encouraging the use of reusables will help alleviate this problem.
WHAT WE ARE DOING/PLAN TO DO WITH REFILL IN OUR COMMUNITY
We are encouraging businesses to sign up to the Refill App and will promote the app to locals and visitors. We want to make it simple and accessible to use reusables and refill stations in the village.
