How to get involved

• Make a splash about the work you’re doing through the Refill campaign to reduce waste and tackle the climate crisis in your community. Engage local media and your comms team to make some noise on social media and via your other internal and external comms channels.
• Use your power to licence for change! Ban single-use cups (plastic and compostables) on sites as part of the site permissions process when licencing an event. Check out our guide which outlines everything event organisers need to know about making the switch.
• Run an action day. Get local volunteers or your team involved with a focused day to of action to sign up local businesses
• Engage your employees. An opportunity to lead by example! Host workplace events. Encourage employees to download and use the free Refill app. Sign up for the Refill app Team impact reporting and measure the impact of your whole organisation codes.
• Bring water fountains to your area. Make a commitment to install fountains to enable your residents to refill. Make sure any existing fountains are listed on the app.
• Encourage schools, businesses, community groups and individuals to get involved.

Join The Global Reuse Summit

The Global Reuse Summit is a free digital event for change-makers, business leaders, policy makers and innovators to learn, share and be inspired as we unite to drive the transition from single-use to reuse, and tackle the global plastic and climate crisis we currently face. Hosted LIVE on June 16th (World Refill Day), by City to Sea founder and award-winning campaigner and author Natalie Fee, we’ll be taking you on a journey and create a shared vision of the future we want and need to see.

There will be sessions covering all aspects of the refill and reuse movement, including global policy, packaging, business innovation, and localised system change.
