Refill Sedbergh is part of Zero Waste Sedbergh – an initiative to encourage businesses and residents in Sedbergh to work towards a Zero Waste lifestyle.
Sedbergh is a small market town in Cumbria, located just inside the Yorkshire Dales National Park.
It is home to the prestigious Sedbergh School boarding school, and is also England’s official Book Town, and benefits from many book shops and shops-that-sell-books along its narrow cobbled streets.
Sedbergh’s idyllic location at the foot of the Howgill Fells makes it a magnet for walkers and tourists.
The Refill scheme has been well received by Sedbergh businesses, with the majority of shopkeepers happy to be included as Refill Stations.
Refilling a water bottle instead of buying new each time is a brilliantly simple place to start for those looking to make a difference to their contribution to landfill, and to the plastic crisis we are currently facing as a race.
